Wash not quite right?

Tell us what happened and we'll help you fix it

Clean doesn't have to smell strong. Our scent is light on purpose: fresh washing, not perfume. Many of us are used to detergents that cover up smells with lots of fragrance, so the first wash can feel like less is happening. It isn't.

  • Give it the dry test. Smell your washing once it's fully dry, not straight out of the machine.
  • For towels, gym kit and bedding that smell musty, use two tablets for a few washes to clear old build-up.
  • Take washing out as soon as the cycle ends and dry it with some space around it. Damp washing left in a pile is what goes sour.
  • Don't pack the drum. Leave a hand's width at the top so everything can move.

Still not right? Email us and we'll sort it. Your Starter Kit is covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee.

How do I use a tablet?

Pop one tablet in the empty drum, put your clothes on top and wash as normal. It goes in the drum, not the drawer. That's it: no measuring, no pre-treating.

Does it go in the drum or the drawer?

Always the drum. Put it in first, at the back, before your clothes. In the drawer it won't get enough water to fizz apart.

When should I use two tablets?

Use two for a very full drum or a very dirty load, like muddy kit or musty towels. One is right for everyday washing.

Does it really work on a cold, quick wash?

Yes, that's what it's made for. The oxygen and enzymes work from 20°C, so your usual quick, cold cycle comes out properly clean.

Do I still need a booster, stain remover or conditioner?

You don't need a booster or a stain remover. The tablet is detergent, stain remover and oxygen booster in one. Fabric conditioner is up to you: if you like it, use it in the drawer as usual.

Which fabrics shouldn't I use it on?

Wool, silk and delicates. Some of our enzymes break down protein, which is great on stains but not on protein fibres. Also wash anything labelled "do not bleach" separately, as the tablet uses oxygen bleach.

Does it work in hard water?

Yes. Water softeners in the tablet lock away the minerals, so it cleans just as well in hard water areas.

How should I store the tablets?

Keep them in the tin with the lid on, somewhere dry and out of reach of children. Damp gets them fizzing early, so always pick them up with dry hands.

Your plan

Most plan changes take two taps. Skip, pause, change how often or cancel any time in your account.

Manage my plan
How does the refill plan work?

You start with the Starter Kit. Then we send refills sized to how many washes you do, timed so the next box arrives before your tin runs out. You choose the bundle and we handle the timing.

When's my next box, and when will I be charged?

Your account shows the date of your next box and how much it will cost. We'll also email you a few days before each refill is sent, so there are no surprises.

How do I skip a box?

Log in to your account, open your plan and tap Skip. Do it before your next billing date and that box won't be sent or charged.

Can I pause my plan?

Yes. Pause from your account for as long as you need, and restart whenever you like. Nothing is sent or charged while it's paused.

Can I change how often refills come?

Yes. Washing more in summer or less on holiday? Change the timing in your account and your next box moves to match.

Can I change my bundle size?

Yes. Switch between 60, 90 and 120 tablets in your account. Bigger bundles cost less per wash and mean fewer deliveries.

How do I update my address or card?

Both are in your account under your plan. Update them before your next billing date and that box will use the new details.

How do I cancel my plan?

Cancel any time in your account. No phone calls and no forms. Cancel before your next billing date and you won't be charged again.

A box arrived that I didn't want. What can I do?

If it's unopened, you can send it back within 14 days of delivery for a refund. Email us for our returns address. Return postage is paid by you.

Can I buy refills without a plan?

Yes. You can buy refills as one-off orders whenever you need them. A plan just saves you money and the hassle of remembering.

Who pays for return postage?

Ingredients & safety

Is it OK for sensitive skin?

It's been skin-irritation tested by an independent lab. There are no harsh preservatives and no added dyes, two common triggers, and the enzymes rinse away with the water. If someone at home has a skin condition or allergy, check the full ingredient list first and ask your GP or pharmacist if you're unsure.

Is it safe around children and pets?

Treat it like any laundry detergent. Keep the tin closed and out of reach, handle tablets with dry hands and keep them away from eyes. Full safety information is on the pack.

What's in the tablet?

Active oxygen, six enzymes, cleaning agents, water softeners, cleaning polymers, a light fragrance and the fizz that breaks it apart. The full list is on every pack and on our ingredients page.

What have you left out?

No microplastics, phosphates, optical brighteners, SLS or SLES, harsh preservatives like MIT, added dyes or 1,4-dioxane. And no plastic film to dissolve.

Will it fade my colours or darks?

It's made to be kind to colours, with no chlorine bleach and no optical brighteners. As with any detergent, check the care label first.

Sustainability & recycling

Why do you send a tin?

The tin comes with your Starter Kit and it's yours to keep. Refills top it up, so you're not buying a new tub or bottle every time.

How do I recycle the packaging?

The refill carton and the delivery box go in with your household card recycling. Keep the tin for your refills. If you ever finish with it, it can go in with your metal recycling.

What are the mesh bags for?

They keep socks, delicates and small bits together in the wash and stop them going missing. They're made to be used again and again.

Is there plastic in the tablet?

No. There's no plastic film to dissolve, unlike capsules, and no microplastics in the formula.

Does washing cold make a difference?

Yes. Heating water is what uses most of the energy in a wash, so a cold cycle uses less. Our tablets are made to clean properly at 20°C, so you don't have to choose.
